What is an LV number and Volume / Folio in Jamaica?
The LV (Land Valuation) number is the unique identifier assigned to a parcel by the National Land Agency for valuation and tax purposes. Volume and Folio are the registration coordinates that anchor a parcel in the Registrar General's title register — together they uniquely identify a registered title in Jamaica. CaptureLand surfaces both on every parcel page; Premium removes the per-parcel charge so you can look them up without limit.
How do I look up who owns a Jamaican property?
Search the property by address, Plus Code, or GPS coordinates, open the parcel page, and unlock the owner record. Pay-Per-Use unlocks a single parcel; Premium unlocks every parcel across all 14 parishes for one monthly or annual price. The records are sourced from National Land Agency and Registrar General feeds.
How current is the Jamaica property data?
CaptureLand indexes against National Land Agency (NLA) and Registrar General's Department feeds and refreshes continuously. Each parcel page shows its data source so you can verify provenance. Boundary geometry comes straight from the official NLA polygons.
Is Premium right for surveyors, real-estate agents, or lawyers?
Yes — these are the typical Premium users. If you run more than about five Volume / Folio, owner, or tax-history checks a month, Premium pays for itself versus pay-per-use. Surveyors use the boundary coordinates, agents the ownership records, and lawyers the title and tax history.
Can I see the parcel boundary before subscribing?
Yes. Parcel boundary maps, coordinates, the basemap, the parish and district browsing experience, and AI valuation insights are all free without an account. Premium only unlocks the locked records (LV number, Volume / Folio, owners, tax history, full AI breakdown).
Is my payment secure?
All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Subscriptions can be managed entirely from the Stripe billing portal.
Pay-Per-Use vs Premium — which should I choose?
Pay-Per-Use suits one-off lookups (a single parcel for a family-land enquiry or a single title check). Premium suits anyone running 5+ lookups a month — surveyors, real-estate agents, developers, lawyers, and researchers.
Do you offer refunds?
We refund unused subscription periods within the first 14 days if the service didn't meet your needs. Email [email protected] and we'll process it.
